In Dublin’s fair city….
that’s where we, 3AB with our form teachers, Mrs Hilscher and Mrs Machek-Wagner, spent a week from 19 to 26 September. All of us took part and it was worth it!
Despite the typical Irish weather, we enjoyed the lively city, the friendly Dubliners, the activities we did after school and even the lessons with our teachers, David and Isabell. We visited Glendalough, an ancient monastery with an old Celtic cemetery and got a first impression of the countryside. We explored Dublin with a guide, met Molly Malone, visited the Guiness Brewery, Trinity College with the book of Kells and many more attractions. We loved the cliff walks from Howth and Bray and of course the soft ice-cream, the Wow-Burgers (the best in the world) and had a great time with our host families. And believe it or not, we even did an Irish dance work shop with two professional dancers and a guitar player, who taught us a few Irish songs and everybody joined in.
However, the best thing about this language trip is that we feel much more confident with our English now. Ask our English teacher! J
